There are so many things involved in creating a 3D rendering that is hard to say how long it takes just as a general statement (we're not called Render 3D Quick for nothing though!). We focus on getting your project back to you as soon as possible, but we also refuse to take shortcuts on quality. So working with us you know you'll get the best possible rendering you can, but also in the timeliest manner possible too.
Let’s look at some of the things that can influence the time frame of your project.
WHY DOES 3D RENDERING TAKE SO LONG IF YOU TRY AND DO IT YOURSELF?
3D rendering is very resource intensive so your computer needs to have very good specifications to be able to process 3D renderings quickly. Learning how to do high quality renderings also takes a very long time, some would say many thousands of hours. That’s why it takes so long to do quality 3D renderings like the ones below for someone new to 3d architectural rendering, but almost no time at all for seasoned pros like us.
The Quoting Process
This may seem like a strange place to start when discussing how long a 3D rendering takes, but it’s one of the first steps in getting your project started. We can’t start working until we’ve quoted your project and you’ve accepted it. Why does this matter in the time-frame? Even though our team has to manually look over your files and construct a quote, they can do so within 10 minutes and send the quote right to you. This is as close as instant as it will get, with many competitors taking 24 hours or more to send their quote to you. That’s an entire day or more that your project is delayed. And as they say, time is money that you could be missing out on in the way of buyers and investors due to slow quotes from other companies.
The Level of Detail
The main aspect that influences how long it will take to get your completed 3D render is the level of detail that your project requires. For example, detailed lighting, nature, and people do sometimes require more time to get the detail just right. If you’re looking for something very photorealistic (a rendering that looks almost exactly like a photograph), then there is a lot of detail that goes into rendering each pixel and generating the final product.
If your project does have a lot of detail, don’t be discouraged by this. Render3DQuick is still faster than competitors when it comes to turn-around time.
The Animation
If you just need a still rendering, that will take less time than a render that needs animation. Walkthroughs and flythroughs require several frames per second to generate an interactive moving picture that gives you the most accurate representation of your project. Even though animating your rendering does take more time, our team is highly efficient so that you will have your project quickly.
As you can see, there are many factors that go into how much time a project requires. These are just 3 of them, but it does give you an idea of how much projects can vary. We can turn things around pretty quick at Render3DQuick! That's why we have "quick" in our name! Normally we turn around renderings in less than a week, 3-4 days is pretty typical, but sometimes we get a client that needs something in 24 hours. We can also handle this and turn it around in this time frame without sacrificing quality when needed.
If you're unsure if we'll be able to meet your deadline, the best thing to do is give us a call or send us a quote request. We'll be more than happy to talk through your project and let you know how long it will take.
